India shows thumbs down to M$ open format

India has done a great job by deciding to vote a "NO" to Microsoft's OOXML(Open Office Extensible Mark Up Language) document format against the ODF(Open Document Format) proposed by a lot other companies who believe in openness. This war of formats has been going on for several months now. The voting will be held at the International Standards Organisation (ISO) in Geneva on September 2 and about 123 counties are participating in the vote.
